White Hart Lane Overground Station Gets Potty Upgrade

White Hart Lane Overground Station Gets Potty Upgrade

White Hart Lane Station in Tottenham has been revitalised with a new exterior and modernised interior. The updates to the station include lifts to bring step-free access to White Hart Lane for the first time.

The 80’s style facade of terracotta pots and greenhouse-like glass panelling is a nod to Tottenham's history of both clay pits and horticulture. The new design makes a statement to all visitors and is impressive in appearance.

The interior is a bright and airy space with clear signage and has an additional set of stairs to accommodate the rush of travelers on match days.

White Hart Lane is the latest overground station to get refurbished, with other recent updates at Hackney Wick and West Hampstead.

Aster Planters from Artform were installed outside, close to the entrance earlier in the year. Their corten steel finish blends in with the buildings’ elaborate plant-pot surface.

Plans to rename the station 'Tottenham Hotspur', the same as the football stadium, were revealed in early 2019, and are still under review.

Donna-Maria Cullen, Executive Director, Tottenham Hotspur, said:
“We welcome and are delighted to see Transport for London’s investment in the station delivering much needed improvements for the local community who use it.”
