This recently produced video of Metalco’s headquarters and production plant shows the sheer scale of manufacture, as well as variety of technology and skills, required to produce global street furniture that is of a truly world class standard.
Located in Castelminio di Resana, Italy, and totalling 250,000 sq ft in size, this vast HQ and production plant is powered entirely by renewable energy in the form of solar panels on the roof. The resulting array of solar panels span as wide as 6 football fields, producing 1.8 MW of electricity. As a result Metalco avoids emitting into the atmosphere around 5,000 tonnes of CO2 per year, equivalent to the consumption of 300 households and also sells surplus energy back to the Italian national grid.

The facility shown in the video is one of three owned by Metalco and processes steel, timber, and aluminium for the entire group.
A second smaller facility also in Castelfranco Veneto, is the original headquarters where the company was founded. This is now dedicated to special steel structures (pods, customised shelters, covers and bespoke structures).
The third factory is based in Fiume Veneto, which is 40,000 sq ft, and specialises in the manufacture of high performance & ultra-high performance concrete products (HPC and UHPC).
Metalco constantly finds ways of improving the level of industrial efficiency through continuous investments in new advanced machinery, new processes and highly qualified personnel, resulting in increased productivity and quality.
